Cybersecurity, IoT, and embedded-systems depth at the executive level where cyber and AI now converge.
Frédéric Thomas has joined StratEdge as Senior Partner.
He arrives with thirty years at the intersection of cybersecurity, embedded systems, and connected products — and the hands-on engineering history that turns senior advisory from category labels into substance.
The record.
Most recently, Frédéric was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Kudelski IoT, leading an eighty-person team delivering secure enclaves, connected platforms, and IoT credential infrastructure for semiconductor, automotive, and industrial customers.
Before that, twenty years at Nagravision as Vice President of Technology and lead presales architect — supporting more than one hundred operators worldwide on nine-figure technology decisions.
He is an EPFL graduate, CISM-certified, and a named inventor on twelve patents.
Why it matters for the work ahead.
Cyberattack capability has moved onto a different curve in the past six months. Industrial-scale intrusion is now fast, repeatable, and accessible. Boards and executive teams are being asked to defend cyber posture, AI exposure, and operational resilience in the same conversation — often to supervisors who have raised the standard significantly.
Frédéric brings the engineering history to advise on these questions with the depth they now require. He has built the secure systems, run the technology decisions at scale, and led the delivery teams behind them.
For customers engaging StratEdge on operational AI, sovereignty audits, and cyber posture, Frédéric joins the work directly — at the founders' invitation, integrated into engagements Barbara Cresti and Caroline Perriard continue to lead end to end.
Welcome aboard, Frédéric.

[ ART_01 ]Data governance: from mere compliance to value creation. An IP-driven perspective
In most boardrooms, data is discussed as a compliance risk. Data and intellectual property are intertwined, and IP experts must deep dive into data governance.
[ ART_02 ]Recognising women in AI: Advancing responsible AI leadership
We are proud to share that Barbara Cresti, our founder, has been nominated by the #WOMENINAI and #ONEMILLIONWOMEN initiatives for her commitment to responsible AI and stronger AI governance in boardrooms. This recognition reinforces our belief that shaping the future of AI requires diverse perspectives, inclusive leadership and accountable decision-making.
